Convertible Seat Accommodates Your Growing Child
The Complete Air 65 Convertible Car Seat protects your child through two separate stages. In the rear-facing position, it fits small infants as little as 5 pounds or 19 inches, so you can seat your child comfortably and safely in your car from the earliest stages of his or her life. The Complete Air 65 keeps your little one comfortable in a rear-facing position all the way until he or she reaches 40 pounds or 40 inches.
At that point, the Complete Air 65 switches to its second stage as a front-facing car seat, where it can accommodate children from 22 to 65 pounds or 34 to 52 inches. In each stage, a five-position adjustable headrest and removable cup holder make it easy to keep your growing child comfortable.
Harness System Adjusts in One Simple Step
Safety experts agree it is best to keep children in harnesses as long as possible, and the Complete Air 65 makes it easy to do just that. The five-point QuickFit Harness System supports growing children up to 65 pounds, and harness height adjustments are easy to make from the front in one simple step without uninstalling the seat from your vehicle.
Air Protect Provides Two Layers of Side-Impact Protection
One in four crashes involving children are side-impact, the most dangerous type of collisions for children. The Complete Air 65 addresses this concern by integrating Air Protect technology, which helps to decrease the chances of crash-related injury for your precious cargo.
Safety 1st engineers designed Air Protect using testing methods that simulate the most violent types of side-impact crashes--those with vehicle intrusion. Using this methodology, Air Protect system was engineered to defend your child in two vital ways. In the event of a collision, the system immediately shields your child's head from impact. As its second layer of defense, Air Protect allows air to escape from the headrest, channeling crash energy away from your child and extending the amount of time it takes to slow your child's movement.
Easy to Install and Maintain
The Complete Air 65 is LATCH equipped for easy installation in compatible vehicles. For further convenience, the car seat features a removable seat pad for easy spot cleaning.
The Complete Air 65 Convertible Car Seat is backed by a manufacturer's limited one-year warranty against defective materials and workmanship.

I was having a tough time deciding between the 3 and since I live in a rural area, where they were not available to see in person, I took advantage of the free return policy at Amazon. The Pros: -Very light weight -Heavy-duty chest clip -High safety rating & side impact tested -Adjustable headrest -Straps adjust very easily -Lots of cushioning -High back The Cons: -Very large "air" wings (as I call them). As stated in previous reviews, they stick out quite far, and would most likely hamper a childs' line of sight. We have a 20+ minute drive home on gravel roads, so this would be an issue for us. -Frame is plastic - which makes it nice for moving between cars as it is very light weight, but I didn't feel it was as safe as the heavier, Symphony. Although I do realize they have to pass the same safety tests. -I drive a... Opened up the box when we received it, set it up in the living room, and my 3 year old daughter fell asleep in it within 15 minutes.Would be perfect if all you need is a front facing seat. However, we bought it for my one year old son. Planning on keeping him rear facing until he's at least two. Part of the reason we upgraded to this seat is because it's convertible. But rear facing, to keep the seat in the "designed" level position, barely fits in my crew cab Ford F-250, which has one of the longest leg room dimensions of any rear seat. When we tried putting it in my wife's Volvo SUV, no chance without pushing the driver's seat all the way forward, and it still scratched our DVD player in the driver's headrest. The engineer team that designed this seat in the rear facing position should be fired. We even read all the reviews here about how mush room it takes in the back seat when rear facing, but figured a... We looked at the Graco Nautilus and a few others before settling on this model. We have been very happy so far with ease of installation (we had the new one secure in minutes), and comfort. I was worried the big "airbags" would annoy my son, or make it hard for him to see out the window, but that isn't the case at all. He is very comfortable and even fell asleep within minutes of riding around town in his new seat. His head stayed up, no bobbling or slumping. At 40 lbs., the crotch strap is in the furthest position, so I could see that being an issue down the road, but for now, it is a very good and comfortable fit for our normal sized, preschool-age kid. |
